Welcome everyone to todays card share featuring the Waterfront stamp set. I really enjoyed playing with this set and created two cards plus a video!  This set is from the Stampin Up 2018 Occasions catalog and is available in my shop.

I call this set a great helper stamp set to create lovely watercolour scenes with ease. Just stamp out your scene and blend the colours with an Aqua Brush. Also, adding dark and light highlights create dimension and interest to the scene.

For this first card, I wanted it bright and cheerful with a little sunset and a beautiful blue waterfront!  To create the little trees in the distance, I inked up the top of the tree stamp and stamped it a few times to create a row of trees in front of the mountains.  The trio of trees at the front of the card was stamped about 5 times to get the trees looking fuller. I used watercolour paper too.

Card Recipe:
– Card Base 4-1/4 x 11″ Score at 5-1/2″
– Island Indigo Panel 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″
– Black Panel 3-1/4 x 4-1/4″
– Watercolour Panel Scene 3 x 4″

The last card is a starry night scene. I love the dark skyline and the lighter colour in the distance. I also used the dotted stamp from the set and it created a lovely scatter of stars. I wanted bold colours on this card and I think I achieved it. However, I’m not too crazy about the highlights I added with the white gel pen. Grrrr.
Note to self….do not use the white gel pen! LOL

– Garden Green Panel 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″
– White Panel 3-1/4 x 4-1/4″
– Watercolour Panel Scene 3 x 4″

I was rolling my camera as I created these cards and will share the process, therefore not really a tutorial. I tend to jump around a lot when water colouring so I decided to add music while I am fussing about instead of rambling off the colours and such and I would probably put you to sleep! LOL. I have listed the products I used below if you need to add more ink pad colours to your stash….I don’t normally use that many colours…..but wow! It is a big list!
