Welcome to another alternative card project using the August 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit. Todays card is somewhat easy to create. I hope you challenge yourself and create one! Check out my card tutorial to follow along. Linked below.

I used Canson 90 lb watercolour paper measuring 4 x 5-1/2″. Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brushes on the Bleeding Hearts -Pink, Pale Pink & Wine Red. For the Branch -Pale Green, May Green & Olive Green. Night of Navy for the sentiment.  I incorporated 3 large leaves, 1 small leaf & 3 ferns from the kit. To create the added detail on the leaves, I did use Garden Green to sketch the leaf veins and finished it off with Olive Green Zig Clean Brush to redefine the veins and shading. I used Pale Green to blend the colours.  The background was watercolored with a wash of Persian Blue Zig Clean Brush using a 10 Round brush. 3 coats to build up the colour, drying in between coats and fading colour towards the centre.

I covered the back with 3M foam tap to get it nice and flat and adhered it to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ Blushing Bride card panel and mounted it on a top folding card base in Whisper White measuring 4-1/4 x 11″ -scored at 5-1/2″.  To fix any imperfections on the bleeding hearts, I used my white gel pen.

Some Clear Wink of Stella on the Bleeding Hearts and leaves for a bit of sparkle and 3 Tempting Turquoise enamel dots to finish off the card.

I’m so pleased with how it turned out!  So pretty!  Here are a few stills of the card.
