Spring Cupcake

Here’s a card I made to share with you today.  The image is by Designed 2 Delight who is hosting a challenge over at CDAC. The theme is to create a card combining at least 2 different design papers, like stripes, plaids and polka dots.  The image is called ‘Spring Cupcake’ and is a freebie for this challenge.  Pop on over and grab it and play along!

The papers I used is by K&Company: Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl and the ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I made the little rose on the ribbon using an EK Success flower punch and the doily was made using a scallop edge punch.  Once I punched it out, I scored it a quarter inch across and folded it and glued the ends together and viola!  Pretty cool!  I came across this technique on YouTube awhile ago and decided to give it a go, sorry I don’t recall which channel it came from.  And finally, the image was colored using Copic markers.
