Hello Friends! I’m excited that I finally have an alternative card project to share with you.  It features the January 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit called Be Mine Valentine.

As always, I do have other ideas but won’t be able to complete another video, however, if I can create one other card, I may just post it on my blog to share it.

I traced out the heart shape from the kit and stamped out the leafy parts using one of birds tail in Granny Apple Green.  Next I used Melon Mamba and stamped out the tiny hearts between the leaves. Using Pineapple Punch, I create little dots freehand around the heart image to add another color.

I chopped up one of the pillow boxes.  I purposely trimmed where it creased at the end because I had an idea to use on another alternate card project. Not sure if I’ll be able to share it but you never know. I used the cheery cobbler twine from another PP kit.  Its wider than regular twine which is nice and turned out to be perfect for this card.

See the bitty piece I used form the pillow box?  Its 1″ x 2-7/8″ only.  Just enough to not take away from the heart.  Next I adhered the heart panel to a black panel and then onto real red and finally onto a top folding card base.  Afterwards, I used three of the heart enamels that came in the kit over top of the three I stamped….I think it looks much better with the added dimension.

Card Recipe:
– Heart Panel 2-7/8 x 4″
– Pillow Box Panel 1 x 2-7/8″
– Black Panel 4 x 5-1/4″
– Real Red Panel 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″
– Whisper White Card Base 4-1/4 x 11″ -Score at 5-1/2″
