Paper Pumpkin February 2018 Alternative Flower Cards
Hi Everyone, for todays card share, I’m featuring alternative card projects using the February 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit. I played all weekend and created 10 cards and I can’t wait to share them all with you. I am going to break them down to about 3 video. I take forever doing the voice over so breaking it down will make it a tiny bit easier on me! LOL. Once I’m finished with the 3 videos, I will see if I can come up with a few more Waterfront cards to share!
The first card couldn’t get any easier to make! Simply arrange the flower stickers into a lovely bouquet and tie a bow around the stem with the included linen thread. I used Garden Green to flick some colour onto the Pink Pirouette panel, added the pearls and stamped the sentiment from the kit. The added sparkle is from the Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Brush Pen and I have used it throughout my cards.
Card Recipe:
– Pink Pirouette 4 x 5-1/2″
– White Card stock 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″
– Whisper White card base 4-1/2 z 11 Score 5-1/2″
On the second card I wanted to create a smaller sentiment and decided to create the word ‘hello’ from the thank you and celebrate stickers. I gold embossed the letters twice to get that extra shine and used the elements from the kit to create this layout.
And here’s a close up of this card. Love the shiny gold letters!
Card Recipe:
– Black strip 1/2 x 4.00″
– Very Vanilla card base 4-1/2 z 11 Score 5-1/2″
And for the last card, I love how it turned out! Another easy peasy card! Sketch out a curve across the 3×5 panel and outline with a green colour and arrange the flowers that looks like orchids…I think…! I don’t know my flowers very well unlike my sister but lets suggest that they are orchids if they’re not! LOL.
Some nice bold shading with Melon Mamba and fade the colour towards the bottom. To add some interest to the background, I flicked some water onto the panel and again added the sparkle!
I hope you enjoyed today cards and check out the video!
Here is the video on how I created the cards.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hardly any stamping this time, Kathie, but still you have beautiful, unique cards! It’s always a pleasure to see your work.
Haha! Thought I’d go with simple cards first! Not to worry, stamping will come in the next 2 videos and I can’t wait to share those! Thanks!
