Paper Pumpkin Dec 2017 Alternate 1 | Card Alternatives
Hello there, Here is the first alternate project featuring the December 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit. I’m starting off with a flower card created with the small flower stamp in the kit. It will require a little creativity on your part to recreate the flower but you can do it! I like that its a clean and simple card too!
And the second card is a slight variation of the card kit. My goal was to turn the square card base into an A2 size card. It includes some stamping using the leaf stamp and more colouring using Watercolor Pencils. I like using watercolour pencils and don’t use it enough when I make cards. BTW, instead of stamping and colouring the leaves, you could use the included Lemon Lime Twist die-cuts to get a similar look.
The Sahara Sand card base in the kit was little scratched up and only noticed it on the front. Silly me didn’t inspect the entire card base. So after assembling the entire card, I then realized it also had an awful scratch across the top too. In addition, with all the layers, the front of the card did get a bit heavy so I recommend cutting down the die-cut piece to reduce the layers. Anyway, some quick thinking and a little man-handling of the finished card, I did manage to fix it.
Since the scratch was across the top, I trimmed off 1/4″ at both ends and backed it onto a Berry Burst panel. I do like the combination of all those colors too! So pretty!
Here is a tutorial on how the cards were created…

I like the smplicity of the first card, even though it involved quite a few steps. It has such a nice, CAS look.
