Paper Pumpkin April 2020 | Kit & Alternative Cards
Hi there, todays card share features the April 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit! Its a pretty darn nice kit. I had fun creating this simple cards and honestly, I wasn’t finished playing with it. So many ideas come to mind but these were the five that I had time to complete.
I love how this first card turned out. I used the leaf die cut in the kit and drew in the details on the back side and then cut little slits to create soft looking feathers. I like simple cards and it shouldn’t take too long to create this one.
I used the left over leaves from the first card on this card. It was super simple to make as well. And this was created directly on the card base. I love the colors I picked for the leaves. Its just easy sponging with the three colors and then snipe & shape it and place on the card with dimensionals.
I had a different idea for this card alternative but it ended up looking abit overdone, so I redid it omitting a bunch of added stamping and it turned out even better! To my surprise, it only took 15 minutes to re-create since I already knew what I was doing. Anyway love that its pretty and yet simple to make. It would be a great Mothers Day card too.
For this next card, I wanted to do something that I hadn’t done for awhile and its resist white embossing. Love the brilliant blue border and then a simple butterfly and just for Mom!
And finally, my take of a hydrangea flower from the stamp set. I didn’t realize PP added alternative cards on the back of their written instructions! Anyway, this was what I saw and decided to share my take of this flower. In the video I shared how I originally stamped it and then restamped it to show you how to make it look more flower like instead of a mushroom. I hope it was helpful.
Here’s a link to the video.
Not that I like to yap about myself but here are a few updates. As planned I decided to rejoin Stampin’Up! Yay! I did miss it and I’m really looking forward to the new catalogue. If you are interested in buying any goodies from me, I’ve re-added my SU Shop link back in the sidebar and also if you are interested in subscribing to Paper Pumpkin, its there as well.
