The Design Team has been hard at work creating special gifts that are relatively inexpensive and just goes to show what you can make with a little creativity!
Handmade gifts made from the heart are just the best and heartfelt when received!
I’ve never made a 3D project before so this was a challenge for me but once I got started I couldn’t stop! I wanted to make a gift box and found many types and ended up making 4 gift boxes to share with you.
Big or small, I’d have to say, these gift boxes are perfect for gift giving!
Okay, I must admit, I had made one gift box with “Skating Penguin” for the hop but couldn’t just stop at one! I had to make another using one of newest digi images made by Faith, “Kaela Fairy“.
Both images are super adorable and can be picked up at the D2D shop!
Click on the image below if you can’t make out the cost list for each gift box. Faith put together the cost list to display with the gifts we made. Aren’t they cool!! The treats in this image are those yummy chocolates. I just love how these cute gift boxes turned out. The clear
acetate top on the smaller gifts, gives it a touch of class!
The treats in the gift boxes below are my favourite gingerbread cookies.
These are perfect to give to co-workers, or teachers, etc, everyone loves chocolates and gingerbread cookies!
I used a couple of the Dollar Delights images, ‘Present‘ and ‘Stocking‘ on each of the smaller gift boxes.
A quick colour with Copic’s and some Stickles and your good to go!
These gift boxes can be used as wedding favors. I loved them so much I had to make Christmas gift boxes!
I would have liked to include a written tutorial on how to make the smaller gift boxes but my post is getting quite long and I don’t want to keep you from the other members wonderful creations, so I will have to include a link where I found the ‘how’-to’. Its a video by ‘Monkeysee’ and there’s 2 parts to show you how to make the bottom and top. Just a 6×6 square design paper and Acetate. A bunch of folding for the bottom and 2 inch cut outs at each corner on the Acetate and a few more folds, stuff it with goodies, put the Acetate top on and tie it down with pretty ribbon and a tag.
Viola! Your done! Its super simple and looks amazing!
For the larger gift boxes, a wonderful written tutorial can be found HERE, created by Maria.
This gal is quite talented! Many thanks Maria!
