Canadian Stampin Up Demonstrator Kathie Zaban – Blended Seasons

Welcome to this weeks blog hop.  We have a fun sketch this week and I couldn’t resist the Blended Seasons bundle when I saw it and it arrived just in time. I love the flowers and sentiments in this set.  SU also came out with more watercolor pencils to add to my collection!

For todays card, I stamped the flower image onto whisper white with Memento Black ink and coloured the flower with the first and new set of watercolor pencils.

Colour the inner section of each flower petal with Daffodil Delight. Then lay some Flirty Flamingo in the mid section and then Melon Mamba to the ends of each petal.  Use an Aqua Brush to blend the colours.   To add some depth, add a bit of Rich Razzelberry on the tips and blend with an aqua brush.

For the leaves, I used Granny Apple and Garden Green from the new watercolor set and blended with an aqua brush. Using a slightly darker colour, I added fine strokes on the leaves and also on the flowers. The centres of the flowers were colored in black but I decided to add three tiny pearls on each flower.

For the layout, I used Melon Mamba and whisper white. I then used a sheet of the Graceful Glass 6×6 DSP and a black piece of cardstick for the tag.  For the sentiment, I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set and heat embossed it in white.

I adhered all the panels together and raised the black tag piece. For the flower piece I fussy cut it out and adhered it over top of the tag and added dimensionals where the flower piece falls off the tag.  I just love how this card turned out!
