Beautiful Day Butterfly Card with a Twist Stampin Up
Hi there! Today I’m sharing the 3rd card using the Beautiful Day stamp set. To give the butterfly a much more interesting look. I zentangled it! LOL. Is that what its called? Also something you’d see in those adult colouring books! I stamped it out with black ink and with a pencil, drew in the details. Once done, I traced over my pencil marks with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and coloured the image with Prismacolour pencils. I used about the same colours as in the first 2 cards…blues, turquoise, violet and a pink and white. A bit more work but it was fun creating a whole new look!
As for the background, it was created using the Brusho Crystal colour set offered in the current Occasions catalog. I used Brilliant Red and Yellow and a touch of Gamboge but maybe I sprinkled it a bit too much cause it looks more on the orange side. Lol. None the less, the outcome is still pleasing. I mounted it on black card stock and Berry Burst. To give it a bit of sparkle I splatter a little gold using a gold Wink of Stella pen.
The ‘hello’ sentiment was fussy cut out from the Hello Friend stamp set #144059 and the entire piece was mounted on a side folding card base in Whisper White. I hope you enjoyed todays card.
