Silhouette Advent Calendar
Hello there,
I guess you’ve all seen this fabulous Silhouette Advent Calendar! Well, instead of drawing for the past week, this was what I’ve been up to plus christmas shopping!
The moment I saw this Advent Calendar, I just had to have it! You can cut boxes or drawers and all the templates are included. I opted for the boxes, this way my kids can’t peak through each of the days. I also decided not to add the numbers, its not that hard to figure out! I couldn’t wait to get started so half of the boxes were cut using the SD on the first evening and the next evening I setup the Cameo and completed the rest. On the third evening, I decorated each box and stuffed them with all sorts of goodies and trinkets! The papers I used were from several paper packs: Ellen Krans – Mambi Sheets, Recollections – Jingle Bells, Diane Kappa – Home for the Holidays, Echo Park – Holly Jolly Christmas and Echo Park – Season’s Greeting. I had bought the last two earlier but only in 6×6 pads…so couldn’t use too many of the sheets. 🙁
All in all, I think it took about 16 hours and a good 25 to 30 sheets of paper.
My son who is 11 years old is looking forward to it and even my 20 year old…she’s still my little baby girl! This may not have been a quick project but I’d have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed putting it together and I am pleased on how it turned out. Thanks so much for popping by and checking out my project!

Merry Hugs!
Wow, Kathie, this is amazing. Such a gorgeous project. I'm sure your kiddos will have fun with this (even the 20 year old), who could resist these pretty little packages. This will be great to use every year. All the little details are beautiful. Great project!
This is just awesome!! So much work but so worth it. Where did you get the kit?
This is totally awesome! My girls loved opening the boxes in their Advent calendar. I've thought I should make my grandchildren one. I think I've put it off too long for this year. 😀
This is lovely!

Hi Kathie,
I’ve been looking for advent calendar ideas and keep coming across these super cute shadow boxes. But they dont sell them anymore. ? So I had the bright idea of making my own ? But I need the inside measurements. Would you be able to give them to me?
Thank you,
Cheryl
