Hi everyone, I have a quick card share today and a video and I’m featuring the April 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit even tho the May kit has already arrive. I love how this card turned out…a little beachy and summery!
To create the shorts, I used the light house stamp and inked it up with Bermuda Bay about half way up to create each side of the shorts, making sure the top of the shorts meet together. Next I added a linen thread bow and adhered it with a glue dot.
To create the bikini top, I used the back side of the small anchor and stamped with second generation Bermuda Bay. I added line details and shading using the stampin’ write marker in the same colour. For the bottom, I used the large anchor stamp and used the stampin’ write marker to slightly build up the size so they don’t look to skimpy. I created the bikini strap and bows with the linen thread and stuck the strap down with tape and the bows with glue dots and finally a pearl on the bikini to finish it off.
I used the panel with the two hearts from the kit and cut it down to 5-1/2″ and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay panel. All the pieces were raised with dimensionals and I added glue dots on the bikini strap and each end of the bikini.
For the sentiment, I stamped the ‘adventure awaits’ from the kit onto white card stock and created a banner with a fish tail at one end. Before I adhered it, I stuck down a life saver die cut piece from the kit to add a bit of colour to the card. Of course, I couldn’t stop there! I also added three star fish, stamped in Melon Mamba and a cute little sail boat in Pacific Point. I mounted the card front onto a top folding card base.
– Whisper White card base 4-1/4 x 11″ Score at 5-1/2″
– Bermuda Bay panel 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″
And here is the video on how I made this card.
